Sensationalist headline about science fiction.

No shit it’s “possible” despite being hopelessly beyond today’s technology.

Could? What use is could, anything could be possible. And what sort of abstract says the technical term for uploading a mind is mind uploading.

Is it possible to upload the consciousness of your mind into a computer? – Amreen, age 15, New Delhi, India. The concept, cool yet maybe a little creepy, is known as mind uploading

The process of uploading your mind is mind uploading, very creative...

Accelerando is such a weird but excellent novel.

Considering how morally bankrupt humanity still is, this is terrifying possible technology. Imagine people being condemned to "hell" or broken, copied and used as enslaved mind for some robot shell. (I know it still couldnt do anything to you personally, just make copy of you.)

If even death couldn't bring release from this world, this would be ultimate chain authoritarians could use to permanently control anyone.
