That's half of them. The other half, the cops are afraid to pull them over so they also get away with it.
I think in this case it all boils down to old boys being allowed to do what they want. So bizarre.

LOL, no. Violating government regulations to harm the environment and society is fine, but violating corporate monopoly privilege to wrest back control of your property makes you scum to be shot on sight.

I didn't mean to fix my car! That's ludicrous! I mean hack my own car so I can pollute more! I don't even want to go fast, no. I just want to drive around with a big black plume of smoke behind me covering everything and everyone in cancerous spot.
