What are the issues with python if anyone knows? Is it a bigger issue with scaling up or will it get significantly slower as they add more features? People mention how its bad but they just assume people know why.

Thats like saying ik murders bad but what if the guy you killled kidnapped your whole family and held them hostage, like nah shit well consider it being okay in that case, but that is a fringe case far from common

There are always outliers and exceptions to rules, they are usually not who/what is being discussed lol

Itd only be an issue if your daughter cared, past 25 I don't see why ppl think it's grooming, most ppls personalities are done baking at 18, sure some ppl grow and mature after that but how many really change at the same rate they do while going to college, some ppl at 30 are way more mature than others, just depends on life experiences, I've been thinking about this because I feel like ive stagnated, was growing every year and now its just been 3 years of the same, while ik some ppl that still travel alot, do something new every week and they're definitely different ppl, have just grown to another point in life.

its video sharing, its not a crazy concept, like dailymotion and vimeo have existed forever, idk if they still do lol, think social media platforms adding vidoe like facebook killed those as popular alternatives but Im prob wrong

we had a tiny ass scoop for measuring looked like a stick with a tiny tip that was the scoop, idr what size it was, insane to me how much ppl do and just go full need to be taken care of mode everytime they do it til their tolerance is so high they need a gram a night, it never even felt addictive compared to other stuff and had a great longterm afterglow which was why that confused me. (like 3months of feeling less anxious and more confident, just generally emotionally stable lol)

My friends and I would do like 1 gram together over a month lol, but we also drank on it, like a line of k would be 1/10th size of a coke line and 3 of those would be a khole so wed avoid that

Since selfhosted clouds seem to be the most common thing ppl host, i'm wondering what else ppl here are selfhosting. Is anyone making use of something like excalidraw in the workplace? Curious about what apps that would be useful to always access over the web that aren't mediaservers.

I'ved tried a decent amount (caprover, cosmoscloud, dokploy, coolify, yunohost, etc.) and there always seems to be more around the corner . Right now I like runtipi, tho I have some issues (komga cant detect my media folder), it's been the easiest for me to quickly try out many different selfhostable apps on one server. I didn't know many of these apps existed, there are so many different useful and entertaining ones for different niches/jobs.

Whats your favorite self hosting manager thats capable of one-quick installs through an appstore of some kind? Which one do you think is the easiest to use for non technical users? I'm leaning towards Yunohost for ease of use and setup, but a lot of stuff was out of date. Downside is it doesn't seem nearly as easy as the others to setup/manage apps yourself if you dont go the appstore route. Runtipi did recentlly make it so people can make and share repos for the appstore, tho I believe cosmos cloud and a few others already have had this as an option.

Its like a book/tvshow club app where you can make groups to read books together and discuss them, see what others are reading, etc. would be cool for an app like that to encompass comics, manga, etc. as well. Seems perfect for the fediverse and they have some annoying monetization starting to show signs of ruining their app. (Fable Plus)

I like the idea, threads are solid for new shows but rough for discussing older media, the whole online club gets you on the same page reading and discussing the same things.

Ik bookwyrm already exists but thats a tracker and this app seems to fulfil a different niche.

It worked two days ago, wanted to change my vps and domain, I reinstalled yunohost on my vps with a fresh install and now it keeps throwing an error, I tried on a seperate vps and it wont work there either. Is this an issue with yunohosts implementation that just arose recently or is there something wrong with my vps or domains? "preparing pnpm@latest for immediate acticstion... internal error cannot find matching keyid signatures"

Can I rent an 8 core 16gb vps and then put friendica, mbin, mastodon, and lemmy on it? Can I somehow use the same site to login to all of them or would it be like m.site, l.site, etc.

I use a hypervisor? enhance.com rnow to control my wordpress sites, can I still monitor/backup the servers with enhance while manually setting up fediverse instances? I could setup roles like nginx, mariadb, through it and when I do that it lets me easily setup, backup, and migrate websites to different servers I lose this functionality if I dont set up those roles through the panel. So I was wondering if I can set up those roles and then just setup the websites manually through ssh following the guides. Do they all use nginx other than friendica?

Interested in friendica, mbin, lemmy, mastodon, and peertube (going to rent another server and more storage eventually if I do that
