Man, that really bums me out. I really like our Bambu printer. They are such a successful company already. I don't see why they need to resort to these tricks.

I got a huge laugh out of this and thought I'd share.

I don't find self hosting lemmy to use much of either.

Are you strictly self hosting with this device? If so there are whole operating systems that make this easy. TrueNAS Scale for example.

I would suggest broadening your search. Debian vs Ubuntu is not much of a difference in my opinion. Videos and just trying some can help you decide.

I got continuwuity up and running without much trouble. I might even try to get the rtc part running using Element X. Thanks for the information. So far it's working as expected with just messaging and rooms.

I have been leaning toward running contnuwuity on my home server to start exploring matrix. This may be a better question for a self hosting community, but what do you run? Or do you use an open server?

Thanks for the insight. I will probably go ahead and get set up with Matrix then.

Battery monitor question (lemmy.shutes.org)
submitted 4 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago) by ArborNode@lemmy.shutes.org to c/linuxphones@lemmy.ca

Jumped in to PMOS yesterday on a OnePlus6T. So far very few bugs. I like KDE Plasma on my desktop dev computer, so I went with it for this phone. It feels familiar and so far I'm loving it.

One thing I see that is odd is the battery life so far stays at 100% when I go poking around doing cat on files in my battery driver, I see the charge current value is much higher than the charge_full value. Will this possibly correct itself over multiple charge cycles?

I read up on it a little in the PMOS wiki, but any extra insight would be much appreciated.

Is it worth while to set up matrix to join the conversation on the matrix channel postmarketos has?

I love this software. I started self hosting it as a way to make grocery lists easier for my family.

So far I don't have many recepies in it yet. We are planning to add a lot of regular meals to it to have a list to pick from easier.

I'm not quite sure what rules you mean to tighten up.
