There's always been facial rec. In the old days, they recognized that "He looks black, that can't be his car."

We can wear masks, too...for health reasons. I predict an increase in germaphobes.
Imagine if they actually try to ban medical face masks, not for some cockamamie pseudoscience reason, but because we don't have the right to evade their facial recognition scheme?
You sound angry. Are you angry?
I have a history degree and I live in MAGA America. Damn right I'm angry.
But this isn't about me, it has everything to do with your ridiculously entitled attitude, and your hilarious defense of it.
So right up front, you want to inform your supervisors that you won't work with two of the long-established members of your new department because they don't meet your personal interaction standards? And you think that's going to go well for you?
If someone came to me with that demand before even starting the job, I'd breathe a sigh of relief that we discovered their weirdness before it was too late, and choose another candidate for the job.
Welcome to the working world! You don't get to choose who you work with, you just have to make the best of it. If you need this job for advancement, then focus on that, and put up with whatever else goes with it, like EVERYBODY ELSE. Who told you that you could go through life without the minor inconvenience of having to deal with conflicting personalities? This is Real Life, you don't get some protective bubble from the icky, inconvenient parts.
I used to have a cat that loved to jump up under any truck that would be delivering something. We used to tell them not to leave until we had eyes on our cat. Even with that, he was such a varmint that I'd give them my business card, and tell them that if they got to their next delivery, and found him in their truck, to call me, and I'll come get him.
Luckily, our precautions worked, but he was a troublemaker.
They didn't use to be that way. I went a decade with no bans or warnings, but the last years got crazy. It fell completely apart after Trump was inaugurated.
I've tried to evade the ban, but they catch up to you eventually. I got a new phone, ditched all the Reddit cookies, signed up on a different network in another state, with a new email, etc..
At first, it took them a few weeks to find me, and they quickly went from a 3 day ban, to a week long ban, to a permanent ban, in quick succession. Then I'd have to do it all over again. The send time took them about a week. The third time took a few days.
The final time, I went to all the trouble, and I was permabanned before I finished my first post. They got my number, they're watching out for me. I'm a Reddit Outlaw, and I couldn't be prouder.
We have to go through the Bell Riots, the Eugenics Wars, and WWIII, before the Vulcans will show their pointy little ears.
So declare him a war criminal, and arrest him anytime he leaves America.
That's why George W Bush can't leave the country. He's wanted everywhere in the world as a war criminal.
I like Lemmy, I certain only am freer to speak my mind, although the mods can get pretty weird here, too. Mods are mods, whaddayagonnado?
I miss the multiple massive forums devoted to hobbies and interests. I love guitars and animals, and Lemmy doesn't do either one very well, or any other lifestyle forums, for that matter.
I can scratch my political itch, but not much more.
As a business owner, I can even predict the immediate outcome of rejecting OP. They would come to me, and say "Why did they get the job? I thought it was mine."
"Well, you indicated that if you took the job, you wouldn't be able to work with members of the team, so we chose someone who could. Maybe you'll be a better fit for the next one." And then they'd never be offered another promotion.
Ultimatums like "It's them or me," seldom work out well for the issuer.
