Someone should make a list of all the leaked credentials that got leaked.

Nice to see a measured comment.

I don't think it will lead to banning porn. Just tell actors/directors to stop chocking and cut some sequences from old videos. If a video is an hour long chocking session then geoblock it. I don't think it's an existential crisis for the industry.

Banning possession is insane though.

This is in direct response to some recent studies that claimed that chocking is the second most common cause of stroke in women under 40. Other studied found that there is no safe amount of oxygen deprivation, any chocking leads to brain damage. Other risks of choking are difficulty swallowing, incontinence, seizures, memory problems, depression, anxiety and miscarriage.

What happened is that porn normalized chocking. It used to be limited to the "hard core" types of porn but now it's mainstream and kids that grew up watching it think it's just normal part of sex. Most women asked about it say that they don't enjoy it but do it "for their partner’s pleasure".

So yeah, the government treats it as a public health issue and bans it.

I'm not a scientists, I didn't review all those studies and frankly I don't care one way of the other. Just wanted to give people some context.

You can read more about it here: https://www.theguardian.com/lifeandstyle/2025/jul/07/no-safe-way-risks-of-choking-during-sex

Yeah, but think of the value they will create for the shareholders!

If we're thinking about the same pond story the driver was drunk. Not very magical.

https://www.israeltoday.co.il/read/poll-strong-majority-of-israelis-back-idf-push-into-gaza-city/

"As international commentators wring their hands over the war in Gaza, Israelis themselves are clear: the battle is not over, and it must be won.

A new poll released Wednesday night shows a striking 65% majority of Israelis support the capture of Gaza City and the central refugee camps—still largely under Hamas control—compared to 32% opposed. Just 3% said they had no opinion."

I don't think someone can be this ignorant so I will just assume you're a shill.

A friend of mine was working on decommissioning Oracle at his company for the past year or two. The company bought some software that was using Oracle years ago. Turns out it was relying heavily on DB procedures and to ditch Oracle they had to move all this logic out of it first. They tried to do it couple of times before but failed. The software works so this work had low priority and would be scraped eventually to focus on more important things. On like a 3rd try they finally managed to do it and are now Oracle free.

I'm kidding but since we're just playing I would say:

Let's imagine you want to know who will win the next election. You create detailed simulation of the entire population and run it until the voting day to see how they will vote. If the simulated population realized they are in a simulation the will obviously start behaving in a different way then the real population thus making your simulation useless.

So I would say unless the goal of the simulation is to see how fast will it realize it's just a simulation you would try to avoid them finding out.

Then again, checking if people will realize they are in a simulation is a valid reason to simulate them so it's possible we're in a simulation that is supposed to find out it's a simulation...

I will prove that we're not in a simulation:

If we're in a simulation then whoever is operating it would not want us to know if we're in a simulation or not.

Anyone trying to check if we're in a simulation or not would be stopped by the operator.

I wasn't stopped by an operator hence there is no operator and we're not in a simulation.

If it has local storage then it doesn't get uploaded anywhere.

It also has BT so the offline mode could be simply "record to SD card and view videos using some app via Bluetooth".

Online mode with notifications and two-way talking has to require internet access so I definitely wouldn't trust it, with or without subscription.
