I absolutely agree with her. Europe has to stand up to chinas bullying, if not because it's morally right then because Taiwan effectively has a monopoly on computer chips and therefore every single aspect of our modern economies.
China has repeatedly shown that it is willing to use any leverage to blackmail and sabotage european nations that don't do its bidding. If we don't protect Taiwan out of moral obligation, then we should do it out of an egoistical necessity to keep the fate of our continent out of chinese hands.

I am from Switzerland, so I don't have the full picture, but I do remember that eastern (ex-communist) germany, where berlin is located, has/had a huge problem with people from the countryside fleeing to westgermany or the cities.
It was once so bad that a (i think government-) commission recommended giving up the villages completely and only focus on the cities. Which was received as well as you imagine it.
This is btw also a reason why the extreme right is so popular in eastern germany. All those with a more liberal mindset have fled. Definitely not the only reason, but one of them.
But yeah, this guy is just full of hot air.

it will be https (443 is the port for https)
This does not mean, that any other device can just intercept the packages. It depends on the routing; your router and switches are smart. They know on which cable a device is and only send it to that cable. If anything else is on that cable, they can intercept this message. Any devices not on that cable can't.
So if you're like me and have Caddy and HomeAssistant on the same physical server as virtual machines, you realistically shouldn't have to worry, as the traffic should never leave your server.
