I care about my actual private data. My email that I hand out to dozens of sites isn’t that. What movies/tv shows of Plex’s - not my collection - isn’t that. It’s definitely not an issue when it’s opt-in like this is.
It’s also not for your personal media, only what you watch of their hosted content. They aren’t selling that your most watched thing is your highly curated big booty whores collection.
And just like that we’re at silly made up hypothetical situations to drive fear and an agenda. That’s not even worth entertaining.
Btw these changes and the data that is shared/sold are only for plex’s hosted movies and shows - not your personal media collection.

Labor could have finished it easily if they wanted to, but they dragged their butts because they knew it was a vote winner. Just like almost every big issue, they never want to actually implement it fully because they want to continue using it to get re-elected.
Studies can be - and often are - made to show anything. Having family members who work in the research industry I know for a fact, because they would often get approached to do a study to get a particular result. If they refuse, someone who needs the money will gladly do it. It's the same way that any lawyer can find an "expert" to support their desired position in court.

My point was that no one cared about where their ads showed on Twitter until Elon bought it, and then all of a sudden it was this major issue. It was performative and it was being used to try to blackmail them, that's why he said what he said.
