Cool anecdotal evidence that does nothing to disprove my point.
You think Australian billionaires own Australia? Good lord lol
It’s so cute you think you’re smart yet revert to insults when you can’t back up what you’re saying.
I’m not saying it’s a bad thing.
https://www.statista.com/chart/36007/power-capacity-of-new-decommissioned-coal-power-plants-china/
Last year, China installed almost 70 gigawatts of new coal power capacity more than it took off the grid. The last time this number has been this high was in 2007. In 2018, between 2020 and 2022 as well as in 2024, net coal additions had stayed below 30 gigawatts.
I have zero hatred for China, what are you talking about?
Chinas emissions decreased 1% a year once and you’re proclaiming they’re an electric state 🤣
They are building a hundred coal mines a year. Fact. Facts don’t give a fuck about your feelings 😘
Solid state batteries have been releasing “next year” for at least 20 years at this stage. The latest “solid state batteries” are nothing more than lithium ion batteries and lies.
The benefits of diesel are that it’s cheap, plentiful, takes seconds to refuel, and powers engines that are easy to repair and source. It’s performance isnt affected by the weather like batteries are.
It went down before too….. and then it shot back up to all time high levels.
The proportion of power that coal makes is irrelevant when they’re still increasing coal use. Just because solar if increasing faster doesn’t mean coal is dropping. You don’t open a hundred new coal mines a year to use less coal o.
I know Lemmy loves communism, but even you guys can’t try and defend Chinas emissions as anything other than disastrously high if you think the climate is changing. They’re literally the main cause of it if it is carbon emissions caused.
Read the article. This “vulnerability“ requires access to the machine already
Not a chance. The steam machine is woefully underpowered and limited in not being able to play most of the most popular and played games in the world. It’s also going to be insanely expensive for what it is.
I switched to a M4 Mac Mini as my home server and it is amazing. Virtually silent, incredibly powerful, yet insanely power efficient.
