Clone of reddit with a little bit of 4chan edge from feeling antisocial and anti authoritarian in here as well.

I'm not sure how merit based would work but I still think a public shame board of recent bans with their comment or post that got them banned with how long would do a lot to make it more obvious what the mods do and who is repeat offending.

I mostly just try to vote on what is relevant to the conversation but it's a mess on all the social media sites these days.

It's still weird that conservative comedy relies on someone being upset about the thing they just said.
Literally their jokes don't work unless you imagine an angry "liberal" already responding.

Like if you go without context and reduce their routine to just what they say it doesn't feel funny at all. It's not comedy, it's further rage bait.

Is it cool to brag about apathy?

Also what's on topic about your dinner?

I've noticed more of a trend of people up oting who they think is winning a fight here on lemmy. Which usually means supporting the person shouting the loudest and being the most condescending.
Maybe it's more of his might is right bullshit, that doesn't work in real life since the fights never end like their imagination of a single punch.

But anyways in this case I'm going with he has alts or a group cause it's very consistent. Also I think it diminishes their bad argument.

LOL how pathetic.

All humans are stupid. It's only by collective work that anything gets done.

Democracy isn't working because there are teams instead of policies.

Oh 2003? Nah $20 stretched hard back then, especially if it was a thrift store. Man even as a kid I could get so much stuff with $5 at a thrift store, I think I literally got a PC and a DVD player for like $10. Nobody was trying to maximize profit on every thing cause more was on the way.

Hasbrown at McDonald's were .80Β’, they are now $2.70. That $20 was more like $67.50 in actual purchase power.

Vacuum sealer.

They are always available used at thrift stores and they are simple machines but I can reseal bags of chips or other grocery items.

You can make your own bags for cheap from a roll and then individually wrap portions for the freezer that stay longer and don't get freezer burn.

And if you get one that has a hose attachment you can seal bottles of wine, mead, or Tupperware for the fridge if you get the right lids.

There is no way you got that for $20. I keep meaning to get one since I love my wool coat I got at a thrift store but they are never that cheap.
