Just to add to this. Having a unsubscribe link in emails is a common way to trick ppl into clicking links, so if you do not know where the email comes from then just block it.

And it also becomes a stupid topic for those languages were words like sausage is literally just a shape like in Swedish were it can be used for poop too lol

It sounds more like this law is supposed to stop the plans based industry. Like you said it is easier for the curious ppl (like kids) to test something that they understand and know how to cook. I thought we were fighting for the environment.

I have thought about this because I don't plan to have kids, and I might end up living alone in my later years. So, how long would it take for someone to find me after I have died?

Right now is it not about caring more for what is unusual. If my friends or family knew something was wrong, they would report it right away. This actually happened once with a friend. When I was very sick and didn’t answer her calls. She tried every number she could find. Eventually, she only found my sister's phone number, who then contacted me to check if I was okay. My friend was extremely worried, she thought I was in the hospital or something.

My first and only audiobook (I forgot the title) had one track per chapter. I started at chapter one and kept wondering from time to time why things were happening with no explanation. Then, several chapters later, I’d finally figure it out what was going on because the characters started setting up events I’d already heard about so I checked my music player and it was on shuffle… It actually worked weirdly well, haha.

The only iPhone users I ever met who cared were back when texting cost a lot, unless you had a special plan (there was one that made it free if the person you texted had the same plan). Then smart phones came and we all switched to Kik, then WhatsApp, then Messenger (some got both or an alternative). And now we have got free texting and calling across the whole EU, yet none of my friends uses it haha

I surprise ppl with my drawing skills, and they always say my place is nice and cosy. Everyone who comes over for the first time gets weirdly surprised. I am not sure if that is a skill tho xD

I have a lot of respect for you! Keep being motivated and being ambitious!

Nice! I saw Mozilla also added an ai chat in the browser recently (not in the phone version that I have seen tho).

It is too bad duck.ai only runs the small models. Gpt4o-mini is not very good, it can be very inaccurate and very inconsistent :( I would like to see the 4.1-mini instead, faster and better and got function calling, so it can do web searches for example. O3 can't so it can only know what it knows until 2023.

But thanks for the information I will be looking out for when 4.1 is added!

You put into words exactly how I’ve felt about language learning apps. Every time I try a game or app that's supposed to teach you, it feels like I’m starting over, and it never actually becomes fun. I tried Duolingo, but after a while, I found myself just doing super easy lessons to keep my streak going so I wouldn’t have to sit through the boring ones. It felt pretty bad, so I stopped using it when I hit 800 days.

My friend didn't use any apps and instead started by texting and talking with people and managed to learn Korean in just a year, well enough for casual, everyday conversations or hobby-related stuff. Meanwhile, I’ve been using apps and still can’t hold a conversation with anyone…

I would assume it is more about time than money. It is a big investment making a whole functional system with llm (I have a hard time believing it is actually AI), it will cost a lot if done wrong (just like everything else). You can't just prompt "make a course in Spanish" and get anything good out of it and you still need ppl who can quality check the output. I could see them use it to mass produce sentences and stories in different levels (not the actual story) and voice recordings, but not actually anything creative and I would assume that is the goal. But we have seen too many shitty products to believe in anything with llm.

Yes, I was just open for discussion.

Thanks for telling me! And thanks for giving people a chance to explain them self, I appreciate that about you :D

I'm actually not sure why so many people down voted my comment, but I'll try to explain. This article is about boys who don’t respect women or girls. I read another article about girls trying their best but still struggling due to pressure. So I’ve read two very extreme cases, and both articles present it as something widespread. The big issue seems to be social media.

It made me wonder how kids are doing in school, are they more ambitious now but struggling because of mental health? I saw in the comments that a lot of kids are doing poorly.

Just to clarify, I think it’s bad regardless of the reason or how many kids are affected, gender doesn’t matter, and my comment was never about that.

How did you (and maybe others) read my comment? I want to learn to communicate better for next time.
