I feel like Prime is way more terrible.

Actually came across a useful thing the other day… if you go back 20-30s because you missed something (because you didn’t have CC on), when it restarts it will add captions for 20s.

Unfortunately that doesn’t appear to be in our corporate-approved suite 😭😭

I wonder if I can use copilot in outlook to do something similar

Didn’t use cortana directly, but the “auto block out focus time” in my work diary was a freaking game changer and I am pissed they took it away.

keep in mind, you fuck up a steak at a cooking job you're out the cost of the meal + time.

What? Where?

Generally some sort of meal replacement shake about 30 mins after the meds.

I have found that eating with the meds dilutes the effects for me, so waiting helps.

The meal replacement shake approach helps because I am generally not hungry by the time I remember to be having some food. Drinking it is easier than making myself eat.

Yes I get that sometimes too! I like your explanation because I had been struggling to explain. I generally just need to sit in silence or something at that point and give myself space to readjust.

Definitely tell your doctor if you are feeling good and if the meds are lasting long enough for you right now. Speaking up for yourself is important to make sure you are getting what you need, not what someone else assumes you need.

You could always increase the dose later down the line if you need to.

I’ve been on Elvanse since around November of last year.

I was supposed to get titrated up to 60mg but when I got to 50 I felt… like the inside of me was just a black hole? I don’t really know how to describe it.

In the end I have settled at 40mg. Been on this for nearly 6 months now and don’t really have any problems. I did want to strike a balance between helping with ADHD and not going too far into light/noise sensitivity issues I found are worse when on meds, so it works for me :)

One thing to note though if you are a person who menstruates… I didn’t have periods for a while (due to my contraceptive), but as it’s nearing its end of life they have started coming back and let me just say that your hormones can really mess with how well the meds work. I’ve got an Amfexa top-up prescription for days I am really struggling, but other than those oddities it has been good so far :)

1940s Parker vacumatic skyline.

Writes like a dream and it is neat to use a piece of history.

Don’t forget that if you renounce they publish your name on a list of people who have renounced citizenship.

Absolutely ridiculous that we are even required to file, only the US and Eritrea run a system like this.

Add onto that the US requires forms even for people resident and working in the US (rather than the tax system of most developed nations where a majority of taxpayers have their taxes deducted from their wages and everything is calculated by that country’s tax authority), and you’ve got yourself a double shitshow.

Sure it might not be the most difficult thing to do but damn it is stupid.

Do you have common law marriage where you live? In some places you are considered “common law” married after living together for a certain amount of time, which can help in estate settlement.

I have been in the same job (with a promotion so very slightly different) for almost 5 years now. This has definitely been my longest job, by at least 2.5 years 😅 but I have found that the nature of the role is really one of those things where days don’t tend to be the same and all that jazz, but recently I have found myself getting that itchy feet feeling.

At the same time, the job is getting busier and deadlines have been coming faster with more last minute change than there had been previously.

I am definitely on the edge of burnout or maybe I’m in “functional burnout” or whatever that is… anyone else find that boredom or feeling like you need to move onto the next thing contributes to burnout?

Also I started meds back in November so not sure if that is contributing. I have been insanely productive since starting meds but I feel like every day is a hyperfocus day now and I am not sure if that is making things worse.

And if anyone is curious I am a finance business partner working with a sales leadership team, it’s quite interesting really but I am definitely in need of moving onto something else.

People keep telling me I am driven but I don’t think it is that so much as a constant need for stimulation/novelty that drives me forward. Somehow I have made myself important in my organisation and now I have regrets 🤣🤣
