I have never said that you can do things with windows 7 I said it was not secure. My analogy was more intended for showing trade off that can be made for security. Apologies if it came out another way

Il have some of that ,whatever it is you are smoking.

Yea im kind of serious when it comes to my it security , not everyone can clown around with it.

Yea we bikers don't care that much for safety, the trade off is worth it.

Not sure what the benificial trade off for using an ancient OS is though. Hipster points at your local coffee shop maybe?

And yea i answered your question. Read again.

Oh and thanks for the compliment, i also find it fascinating.

Not really but better than derive it from a place of such monumental hybris and ignorance to think they can patch their windows 7 at par with Microsoft themselves. There is a reason no one serious uses win 7 online anymore. Same reason cars without seatbelts are few on the roads.

Not really , you are just really really stuck up Microsofts butt. Tried this fancy fashionable mode chic Linux?

What you can't do? Use a properly patched OS.

Yea last one was SP2 if you are rebuilding the entire win7 OS yourself, you definitely are wasting your talent at crap.

Maybe you should try something from this decade? Or is it to hard to grasp if it doesn't come on a floppy disc and with built in malware?

You don't have to

[–] LoveSausage@discuss.tchncs.de 2 points 7 months ago (13 children)

Do explain. How is that relevant to not getting bugfixes for your OS?

No1 rule in IT security: Keep shit updated.

Now I haven't used windows other than managed work stuff for a decade but I would assume that the problem with the already existing nightmare of windows would be a lot worse if completely void of bugfixes.

But if you have an insight in to an entire field where the experts disagree on the subject I'm very keen on hearing it.

Nuclear silos.. is that early dos system I believe?

As long as things are not connected and not trying to add newer stuff , what's the problem?

3.1 I hold the world record for memorizing the shortest length of pi decimals.

Maybe, maybe not, but call it stolen creations instead, point still valid

Destroy capitalism. That's the issue here. All AI fears stem from that.
