Its not a bad start to an analogy explaining it but old mate Chris Baraniuk needs to string it out a bit more to make any sense.

not neseserily just this artical but over the past few months I have noticed RNZ with a number of articles along the lines of "10 steps to change party leadership" with their target firmly on Luxon.

Not that i disagree with thier assesment. The dude is little more than an empty suit. It is funny that RNZ is trying to manufacture it, although maybe its a case of "where there is smoke there is fire"

It would be election suicide though. One of Nationals big cards are that they are not the Greens party or Te Pati Maori. Rolling Luxon would send a signal that only Labour is solid. Then again if they already think this election is a loss then rolling Luxon now is a great idea.

Agree 100%. It is just Disclosure, if you use AI for voice lines on a robot character but the game is good then disclosing that "this game used ai during creation" isnt a bad thing, you used a tool for a tool to help make your game. I dont think disclosure hurts you.

If your game is a simple asset swap of a unity demo and you used 10 prompts to generate all the story, dialogue and sky boxes then disclousing you used ai is simple a branding iron on a pile of shit. The branding iron aint changing the smell of your pile.

There is a lot of inbetween these 2 extreams, but the consumer havung more information in the buying process is not a bad thing.

I would love to use GrapheneOS but i cant bring myself to get another pixel after my pixel 5a failed hard one day, randomly, in the middle of Nepal.

Pixel burned me and it will be hard to trust them again.

I mean sure. But thats old news, not headline worthy.

Current headline in NZ. Talking about how the government is going to charge for parking at 3 of the countries tourist hotspots over the summer.

Back in my day toys were recalled for metabolising into drugs! Asbestos is no fun.

"Man locks keys in car then invents fantasical story to try and convince the cops who help him get into his car why the weapons and drugs are not his"

[–] MadPsyentist@lemmy.nz 2 points 2 months ago

This is great. Agree with others in saying it lacks details however they are not in power and politicians are notoriously noncommital. Better than nationals counter policy of "What do we want?! Roads! When do we want it?! Roads!"

The accruement of hours for anual leave is fantastic! I just dont think it makes sense for sick leave. Sick leave should remain as it is, 10 days. You dont get paid out atthe end of employment for sick days and you cant cash them out which means they avoid a lot of the pitfalls that make the "4 weeks" annual leave entitlement so troublesome.

They'll hire Anna Paquin, she'll sort something out.
