Hi there everyone, I wanted to create this post in order to document the current evolving situation regarding Venezuela, The Nobel Peace Prize, and the Trumps/Us actions that are currently happening. You can leave screenshots of evidence, talking points etc. in the comments below.

• Machado is associated with Yales World Fellow-program, which is associated with Langley (which is the CIA). She was in the class of 2009.

• Here is more info on her according to twitter user, and host of “Going Underground” @afshinrattansi (please correct me if that guy is reliable or not) He also uploaded a pic of a letter by her to Netanyahu, and a pic of her with George W. Bush.

Current situation (starting from 09/12/2025), obviously the situation predates that date.

• There were protests in Oslo regarding the nomination of Machado.

• During the Nobel Peace prize ceremony, Nobel Peace Prize Committee Chair urged Venezuela's Maduro to step down “Mr. Maduro, accept the election results and step down” (image tweet by clash report on twitter/x)

• 10/12/2025 The US seized oil tanker off the coast of Venezuela.

• 11/12/2025 01:03 AM: US releases video it says shows troops seizing tanker off Venezuela, they boarded the ship via helicopter. The US is claiming that "the tanker has been sanctioned for many years" and that it had been involved in an "illicit oil shipping network that has been supporting foreign terrorist organisations" .Venezuela's government has responded by accusing the US of "theft" and "international piracy", and has previously said it believes the US is actually trying to depose its President Nicolás Maduro. https://www.bbc.com/news/live/cy07yk63x80t

I apologize if this is written badly, again the situation is evolving. So I encourage everyone to comment updates and evidence below. Feel free to discuss and comment ur views on the situation.

I am going to use the tag #AllEyesOnVenezuela (sorry if i sound like a lib) on my socials for awareness and to make sure that US propaganda is not dominating the conversation.

I have recently made post about reporting any ACP (American Communist Party) infiltrators. Though in this post I want to provide evidence to you all on the Deprogram-Forum, and the rest of Lemmy-grad on how the ACP is deliberately brigading other leftists reddit-subs. The Attached Image is the evidence that this was a planned and organized brigade.

The call to brigade other leftists’ spaces, came from the chairman of the ACP himself, Haz Al-Din (his reddit username is Infrared Show). He posted this call on r/AskSocialists which is now a completely ACP-compromised subreddit. It was then reposted on r/LeftAgainstACP, and this is also how most of us found out.

Current situation Summary:

• There were many attempts of the ACP trying to brigade leftists’ subs, and also even conservative subs (for rage bait I guess, or spreading more reactionary bs)

• Many actual leftists made posts about it, and a call to ban them if you see them.

• Thus far ACP people have tried to brigade or brigaded: r/AskSocialists (successfully), r/Socialism, r/TankieTheDeprogram (unsuccessfully), r/SocialistGaming (you could mostly find ACP apologist on my anti-ACP post in that sub, which are promptly banned).

• When I searched ACP, in the reddit search bar I even saw that they were posting in r/ConservativeYouth, where the post was immediately removed from.

• They also actively tried to target r/GenZeDong.

If you want to add more subs that have been infiltrated by the ACP, pls leave them below in the comments section.

The ACP

As a brief reminder the ACP is not our friend, nor are they actual leftists. Jackson Hinkle (among others) founded the ACP, and its current chairman is Haz Al Din. Midwestern Marx is also another ACP affiliated figure.

They claim to be Marxist–Leninist, but many critics argue they are not Marxist at all, instead promoting a blend of socially conservative, nationalist, and pro-authoritarian politics. Essentially Strasserims, Nazbolism. They are Nazis who use the USSR as an aesthetic branding.

They oppose much of what communism has stood for historically: they reject liberal-left “woke” politics, express support for nationalist and reactionary stances. In practice, their activities have centred on online propaganda (TikTok, Twitter), political positioning, and alignment with authoritarian regimes. They also call themselves** MAGA-Communists,** and socially conservative and claim that Marxism is historically conservative.

This is not Marxism, so please report them if you see them.

What can we do?

• Support your mods in your favourite online spaces by reporting brigadiers.
• Help inform other leftists , about why the ACP is bad.
• Support and watch r/LeftAgainstACP for more information.
• Share or create actual Marxist social media content, so that the ACP cannot dominate the conversation online. Support those creators who are successfully calling them out.
• Make sure your discord servers have a verification-process

-Get organized in IRL, support unions and actual leftists’ parties.

Also this post is not meant to cause mass hysteria, its purpose is to document what the ACP has done yesterday and start a conversation.

So, somebody recently asked me to do a Marxist–Leninist reading of the conservative-left party Bündnis Sahra Wagenknecht (BSW) the party is currently still operating under that name, though a potential rebranding is expected. I am half German, so I figured I would write a short, factual overview of what the party is, where it comes from, and how it positions itself.

We can discuss theory and critique in the comments afterward.

Quick Summary

• The” BSW” was created as a splinter group from “Die Linke”.
• Die Linke” itself is also the product of earlier mergers and splits in German left politics.
• The party was initially founded and led by Sahra Wagenknecht, but this was or is about to change.
• Wagenknecht is married to Oskar Lafontaine, former SPD leader and prominent figure in Die Linke. She grew up in the GDR and is half-Iranian.
• In the European Parliament, BSW sits with the Unified European Left (UEL), not GUE/NGL.

Sahra Wagenknecht: Background & Profile

Sahra Wagenknecht is one of the most prominent figures in German politics, known for her mix of left-leaning economic positions and culturally conservative messaging.

• ** Early life & ideology:**

Born in the GDR to an East-German mother and Iranian father, she entered the PDS (the post-SED party) in the early 1990s. Her early writings were more traditionally Marxist, though her later positions diverge sharply from orthodox Marxism.

• Career in Die Linke:

Served as Bundestag representative, economic spokesperson, and co-chair of the parliamentary faction. She became known for criticizing neoliberal reforms and EU austerity.

• Internal conflicts:

Repeated disputes with other factions of Die Linke, especially over migration, cultural politics, and foreign policy, led to her eventual split.

• Public image:

Combines left-wing economic rhetoric with conservative cultural critiques. Highly media-savvy and frequently on talk shows. She also writes a lot of books.

• Personal ties:

Her marriage to Oskar Lafontaine further ties her to older social-democratic and post-communist political networks.

The BSW: Ideological & Policy Profile

The BSW positions itself as a party for “social justice, economic stability, and common sense,” blending social-democratic economics with socially conservative themes.

• Economic Policy

Strongly interventionist; supports state regulation and higher taxes on the wealthy. Critical of privatization; favours re-municipalization of key services. Focus on cost-of-living issues, housing, and industrial decline. Pro-industrial strategy but anti-corporate in rhetoric.

• Social & Cultural Policy

Rejects identity politics and “lifestyle leftism.” More restrictive migration stance than most European left parties. Emphasis on social cohesion, stability, and communitarian values.

• Foreign Policy

Critical of NATO and U.S. foreign policy. Opposes weapons deliveries to Ukraine, favours negotiations and sanctions relief. Seeks restoration of economic ties with Russia (while officially condemning the invasion). Sceptical of deeper EU integration.

• Environmental Policy

Supports climate goals but rejects consumption bans and “eco-austerity.” Emphasizes technological investment over regulatory restrictions.

Controversies, Local-Level Behaviour & Criticism

• Local gains but conservative cooperation:

While BSW has achieved notable success in eastern state elections, it often cooperates with conservative or centrist parties at the local/state level, which critics view as inconsistent with its left-economic message .

• Strong anti-“woke” stance:

The party sharply criticizes identity politics, gender policies, and cultural liberalism. This appeals to certain working-class voters but alienates much of the traditional left.

• Accusations of pro-Kremlin alignment:

Opponents argue its Ukraine and NATO positions echo Russian narratives. These are political allegations; the party denies them, and verified evidence of Kremlin funding is lacking.

• There was some suspicion on who funded the party , German news and donation watch list one family (listed as Thomas Stanger) that donated millions to the party.

• Backlash over Ukraine-related remarks:

Wagenknecht has faced criticism for comments perceived as overly sympathetic to Russia or dismissive of Ukrainian concerns, though some viral claims are unverified or misrepresented.

The BSW is not a Marxist–Leninist party, nor does it claim to be its program is reformist, populist, and firmly within the framework of capitalist parliamentary politics.

Belgium is in the middle of a nationwide strike week against the austerity agenda of Bart De Wever’s Arizona-coalition and right on cue, MR president Georges-Louis Bouchez, and Education Minister Valérie Glatigny (MR) held a conference in Liège to promote their neoliberal education reforms. It went about as well as you would expect.

Around 500 protesters, mobilized by Antifa and other left-wing groups, gathered near the Liège conference centre. When police blocked access, the crowd moved toward City Hall. About ten protesters tried to force the doors open, windows were smashed, and the offices of La Meuse and RTL were hit with paint, fruit, and eggs. As they deserve.

Police had prepared heavily: large deployments, container barricades, closed bridges and parks, and water cannons were eventually used to disperse the crowd in front of City Hall. This follows similar clashes at an MR meeting in September.

As expected, Bouchez filed a complaint and demanded the dissolution of Antifa, “liberals” once again showing that they are for fascism.

And of course, the Belgian subreddits are doing what they always do: handwringing over broken windows and paint, rather than supporting workers, students, and activists who are actually resisting the Arizona-coalition’s policies.

Feel free to discuss Belgian politics, the current union strikes, and the broader implications of these protests. How do you see working-class resistance developing in Wallonia and Flanders? What lessons can other movements take from these actions?

Also, please send solidarity to the workers on strike or, if you can, consider supporting or joining their union actions.

I want to open a discussion about decoloniality and postcolonial theory, specifically as they are deployed in Western European academia. I want to explore how these debates relate, or fail to relate to Marxist-Leninist theory, revolutionary praxis, and materialist anti-colonial analysis. Im mostly going to talk about postcolonialism in my text body, but I also state that scholars at my university have been using both decoloniality and post colonialism (even interchangeably)

According to ProleWiki, postcolonialism is described as:

“Postcolonialism is a form of anti-colonialism that focuses on attitudes and culture instead of material conditions. It claims that Marxism is Eurocentric. Post colonialists believe colonialism has so much of an impact that it is impossible to overcome it without returning to the past. By the 1990s, it became popular in imperial core universities because it believed revolution was impossible.”

From my experience, this matches what I have observed. In many academic contexts, “postcolonial thought” is used less to advance materialist or anti-imperialist analysis and more as a tool to attack Marxist theory. Marxism is labelled “Eurocentric,” while actual revolutionary or materialist analysis of colonialism, exploitation, imperialism, and class struggle is ignored, dismissed, ridiculed, or even banned.

In my own experience, I have even seen this personally: a white Dutch scholar (who conducts research in the Caribbean who mixes up decoloniality and postcolonialism) actively targeted me for my Marxist views while openly promoting (a Flemish) Christian conservative and (north Italian) fascist students and Dutch “anarchists.” This is a clear example of how postcolonial discourse can be used to protect reactionary politics while silencing revolutionary perspectives.

It often feels like postcolonial and "academic decoloniality" discourse has become a smokescreen for liberal or reactionary politics, allowing scholars to present themselves as “radical” while actively marginalizing proletarian, anti-imperialist, and revolutionary perspectives.

Discussion points:

• Is postcolonial theory in academia primarily an ideological weapon against Marxism and revolutionary class struggle?

• How have you experienced the use of “decoloniality” in academia? Is it counter-revolutionary or monopolizing the discourse? Should it even exist in its current form?

• Also how do we deal with academics appropriating the political decolonial discourse to stay “en vogue” whilst not actually being leftists?

• Isn’t the “Eurocentric” label misleading? While Marxism originated in the West, many successful non-Western revolutions were founded on Marxist principles and materialist analysis.

• What do people think of Olufemi Taiwo’s work? How useful do you find his analysis from a Marxist-Leninist perspective?

• Gramsci was a Marxist who wrote extensively about cultural hegemony. How do Marxist-Leninists here view his ideas? Are there lessons to take from him, or is his focus on culture and ideology too reformist compared to revolutionary Marxism? ( i have not read gramsci genuine question)

In my view, genuine decoloniality can only take place outside of academia; the real decoloniality that actually liberates people. This can only happen if we actively fight capitalism and imperialism, with the voice of the global working class leading the conversation and the struggle. Unlike the liberal ‘academic decolonization,’ which primarily serves the scholars themselves, revolutionary decoloniality is rooted in material struggle and praxis.

N.B.: I understand that decoloniality and postcolonialism are two separate concepts, though at my university scholars often conflate or use them together.
