I had the same conundrum, and for a time, I had a three-machine setup: Unriad, PVE, and PBS. But it did not make sense for me to keep a machine powered just for PBS, and I eventually discovered that I could run PBS as a docker in Unraid. So now I have Unraid/PBS (container) and a PVE host.
