Haven't had any issues criticizing Russia on here. It also looks like the account you were arguing against was banned for the same exchange (link). So even though the ban may or may not have been justified, concluding that this community is run by Russian sympathizers frankly doesn't hold up.

You're right, good catch. Canadian dollars makes sense.
Did the shop add a significant markup here or is this some non-USD currency? Otherwise that price is $30 more than even MSRP. Right now I could buy it for 50€ here, which is still probably too much but significantly less egregious.
According to the overview trailer you'll meet federation troopers "occassionally". I'm pretty sure Miles will only be around during the early game, but there will be other NPCs later on. Does sound like you'll be alone most of the time though. I'm not a fan of what I've seen of Miles at all, but I do enough have faith in retro studios to be sure that they won't give us a quippy sidekick for the entire game.
I was interested in this game but a 70€ GKC is a nope for me. Even if it were a proper physical release, that price seems way too high for the kind of game it is.
Guess they'll soon find out about the long waiting lists that German food banks usually have. They won't qualify for any German welfare payments either, so time for US soldiers to go begging in the streets I guess?
True, those don't even look anything like children.
Wish they'd give us the on-console activity log back instead of putting everything into apps.
Don't need to see it, thanks... Why link them? Like I said, I'd also prefer for these to be out of the general view. It's distasteful, but that's also all it is for me, I don't see it as criminally relevant. Keep them in spaces where people who actively seek them out can buy them and I don't care. If you disagree with Temu and Shein publicly selling them (as do I), don't ever buy from them at least as long as they sell them.
While all that is gaining traction, there is tons of actual CSAM on the internet, which law enforcement purposefully doesn't delete. Don't you think that should be tackled first? I don't think we have our priorities straight here.
IDK what to think about it. I don't really see the "gravity and urgency of the situation" given that no actual children are involved. The whole "it drives pedophiles to act out their fantasies in real life" argument is too close to the "violent videogames cause people to be violent" argument for my taste. I also feel like the whole outrage is used by the French government as a distraction tactic for their own failings. There are way worse things happening on the internet that need to be tackled.
On the other hand I would still prefer if those shops didn't sell them, so people don't accidentally stumble upon them. But demanding Shein give out the identities of people who purchased these dolls is way out of line IMO, as I don't believe they've committed any crimes.
Nice that they're packing the bulk of the features into the free update instead of the Switch 2 edition! 5€ for the latter also seems like a very fair deal. Definitely getting this.
I got it a day early yesterday and I've played around 4 hours now. I quite like it so far. Graphics are gorgeous and the soundtrack is amazing. Gameplay-wise it's pretty much the familiar Metroid Prime gameplay loop of exploring, puzzle solving and getting upgrades. Riding the bike is fun, but the hub world itself is pretty empty and pretty much just a way to get from one area to the another. Due to that structure, the various zones you explore aren't as interconnected as they were in older Prime games. Overall, the 8/10 ratings it gets on average seem about right to me. It's not groundbreaking, but still a very good entry in the Metroid Prime series.
