BTC is neat and I do have some, but I didn’t get into LLMs, no use case for me at this point. But I think VR is in a completely different bucket. VR was so fucking awesome for my partner and myself to chill out in with our friends in 2020 when we couldn’t go out and see peeps. It’s also easily the best most fun form of exercise.
VR is so fucking cool tho
I call it “Exxx, the everything app” sarcastically like Liz from TrueAnon does. I never used Twitter but I just find it funny to call it that.
I was so scared to get it set up… it was my first Linux experience other than an Ubuntu box in 2007 or so. It was soooo much easier than I expected. I have it as my DHCP server tho, so if it goes down, my house has no web. I reeeeeally should update the system and my block lists though…
I need to update my pi-hole but I’m terrified to.. I’ve been using it for more than five years and it’s been a hands-off champion; I’m afraid if I updated it’ll get all fucked up and I’ll have to reinstall.
GME completely ruined WSB.
I don’t have an account but my partner does. We normally get videos on the main page from people they’re subscribed to, or videos we already have watched (which is annoying.)
One day, one of the top videos on the main page reccos was what I can only describe as a terminally-autistic person (like we’re both autistic too but) hand-holding a camera to video capture Tamodachi Life on the DS and narrating the experience. It had like 37 views when we clicked on it. We looked at their channel and it was like their 1300th post playing the same game. It was amazing.
Gotta make those policies seem friendly and non-aggressive!
I don’t doubt that for a second. It’s like in the early 2010s when tons of people on Reddit were like “30FPS is all you need, you don’t need more especially in a strategy game or RPG” and I’m seething because my neurospicy ass cannot handle the choppiness of 30FPS and they’ve probably never even seen 120, 144, 165FPS…
Uh … yeah, it’s his livelihood. He writes books on programming with Apple machines. Of course he’s still going to do the things he’s been doing his whole life.
