At least when I grew up asking questions was seen as rude, especially because I had undiagnosed AuDHD, so I adapted to authority that doesn't care what you want or think. And to survive you people please. You're just supposed to get good grades and go to college and follow instructions even if it doesn't benefit your learning style or abilities. And then you struggle due to big things outside of your control but everyone tells you that it's because you're a failure.
