Yeah I just pretty modern phones second hand for $200-300 every time mine starts to die, I found for my use case at least, that smaller phones tend to survive longer and are just much more comfortable to hold. I'm ready for the larger and larger phones trend to end already.

It was like 2 weeks ago, my friend and I, were remembering our younger years and how we loved the Galaxy S4, I had the mini version, best phone that ever existed.

What about using Intel ARC GPUs for encoding as they are all kinda made specifically for it, I don't use jellyfin but I got an Intel ARC B310 Eco used for like $45.

Looking at current prices it seems like it's around $120 now, was cheaper last year, but I still recommend looking into Intel GPUs.

I bought 10tb refurbished drives for $65 ea last year, this year, same ones cost me $140 ea.

These are drives from 2017-2018 mind you. I know drives should start failing soon at some point, but that is why I have raid and weekly replication to a second server.

Let's just hope something new comes around that will make current year drives cheaper in the near future.

Black mirror is so good at what it does that I can't even watch it due to how uncomfortable it makes me feel. I have never seen a show or movie do that to me. Horror movies are children shows in comparison to Black Mirror, real nightmare fuel.

I will say, even WiFi cameras need power run to them, and I'm glad my days are over for running around on a ladder every week changing out the batteries for my mom. Running PoE makes life easier in the long run.

Even the camera that came with its own small solar panel sucked. Camera would drain battery faster then it would charge, shutdown when low, and slowly recharge back up, but you still need to climb up to turn it back on.

I feel like everyone treats Donald Trump like a kid, whenever he closes his eyes, everyone goes "Where did he go, I can't find him, oh there he is, oh and he's gone again"

Nvm, found it on the site:

Pinepods has it's own gpodder server that's a switch flip in settings to start using, it also supports external gpodder servers like opodsync or Podfetch, and it supports Nextcloud gpodder sync - your choice.

Sorry I haven't looked into your project before but I currently use AntennaPod with Nextcloud Gpoddersync, could I plug PinePods into Nextcloud or does it only work with the Pinepods docker server?

I guess it's time to switch to developing apps for Linux mobile distro

The only reason I like android is cuz I can make my own apks and use them without issue.

Not a big user of AI but a suck up chat bot sounds like pain to interact with

We need to go back to the time when comupting power was limited so everything needed to be hella efficient, cuz I feel like we have so much of it that we don't know what to use it on.
