That would work for someone having an off day. Not an actual shitty person. If they knowingly didn't reply for half a year and only messages back when they wanted to use them, that's likely an actual shitty person.

Shitty people usually lack empathy, which is why they are ok with being shitty. If you treat them with kindness, they are much more likely to keep abusing the situation. When I refer to a shitty person, I'm talking about narcissistic, machevellian, slightly sociopathic types of people.

I find that treating shitty people kindly just lets them know they can continue being shitty and people will still be nice to them. Accidents happen and people deserve some leeway but if someone is known for being shitty I think it's better to give them the same energy they put out.

I'm not a lawyer or judge but by my calculations, that's still 145 life sentences too short

It's saturday so we may have to wait until monday for the transaction to go through. I will keep you updated.

I know I'm not the only one who feels like I'm getting visually assaulted everytime I drive at night. It was bad 10 years ago but now, it seems like headlight manufacturers have a deal with insurance companies and optometrists to make the lights as bright as possible. Is this ever going to stop or is there some kind of race in the headlight industry to see who can reproduce the power of the sun first?

Stuff like having a smart phone, development of chatGPT, current events, etc.

For example, my car is parked in a single lane driveway, mom's car is in the garage, she opens the garage door, zooms backwards and puts a hole in my front bumper with her trailer hitch. Then she comes inside to wake me up and yell at me. Is that just an extension of narcissism or what words are there to describe someone like that?

For example, you put yourself through university by studying hard and working full time. Then someone says, you should thank god for giving you the strength. Like wtf do you mean, I busted my ass day in and day out but I'm supposed to thank god for it?

I want to travel the world doing food challenges at restaurants

I thought old man and the sea was boring and pointless when I had to read it in grade 7 but 20+ years later, it hits me hard.

I've never seen anyone else do this either irl or in a video but I'm sure lots of people do it. When I make a grilled cheese I mayo both slices then put both slices in the pan at the same time rather than stacked in sandwich form so it takes half the time to cook and I don't need to flip it.
