I recall someone criticised how nowadays a battery is fitted into every single electrical appliance. They were very much in favour of the good old cord, and the example they brought up was shavers.

It does make some sense. Likely you're only ever using it at home right next to a power outlet and the battery is one of the first parts to give in.

Hard to believe that it would have taken till this day for someone to do this, given that birds are the obvious example of flight.

They seem so good in the movies, but actually taste mostly just like straight vodka, which most people aren't going to enjoy.
