Ah I see. Disagreement is harassment, unless it involves calling someone nonhuman, then it's fine

And the upvotes are right, unless they're for the wrong person, and then they're fake.

Get well soon friend.

Good job, buddy. You're advocating for giving cult numbers a reason to stay in the cult.

Do you feel the same way about the other four poisons? Are freedom advocates and Muslims fair game "poison"s too? Can we just call them vermin?

According to your metrics, how abusive are you being?

I'm not DMing with you, buddy

Or they live in the United States, where good healthcare doesn't exist, and the private sector is skirting regulations and stealing your data to offer you vastly inferior services.

There's a ton of "wellness" hardware and services that are being thrown at customers who are entirely clueless. But if the garbage service is something they can afford, and a trip to the hospital or something they can't, they might choose the garbage service.

Using your metric: when you and your friend jumped into this thread to talk about a completely different topic, what should I assume about you?

It's a cult, I get it. Do you think that makes internationally harassing them okay?

How about the other four groups called "poison"?

People connected to the UFWD have been accused of harassing and intimidating activists and critics, largely from groups China defines as the “Five Poisons” – advocates for independence or greater freedom for Taiwan, Hong Kong, Tibet, Xinjiang, and followers of the banned spiritual movement Falun Gong.

This is how you can "tell"... its never about the conversation never about the point, just about winning some invisible game they're playing?

Literally what game are you playing right now? Never mind the point of this post, apparently you've devolved beyond that. What's your point?

It sounds like you're demanding a level of proof that's basically impossible to provide to you.

What do you think is more likely?

  1. This is a high level conspiracy between multiple parties to make one Chinese official look dumb, or
  2. ChatGPT attracts dumb people, who exist worldwide

You talking to Melusine again? I know he was doing every single one of those things, but are you willing to say they're bad?

Unless there's some weird dogwhistle you're doing here by repeating that phrase over and over.

[–] XLE@piefed.social 1 points 1 month ago (11 children)

Now you're against "state sponsored bullshit" after pretending you weren't? Okay. I'm glad to hear you're against China's behavior now.

I don't agree with you that Melusine is state-sponsored by China, but since you accidentally replied to me instead of him, there you go.

Touche. It is interesting that in this case, the differentiation between "AI data center" and "non-AI data center" is almost as important a distinction between "bad chemicals" and "chemicals" in general. I was previously familiar with the harm of living close to a Bitcoin mining farm, but a conventional data center, not so much.

Block is a various serious company run by various serious people, and we should treat their staff reduction as an equally serious problem.

Block has made a contrarian bet on bitcoin at a time when many payment companies favored stablecoins: cash-like digital tokens that became regulated in the US last year.

Block’s strategy was spearheaded by Dorsey, a “bitcoin maximalist” who has said he believes the digital currency will eventually eclipse the dollar.
