Kenya is pretty close to an revolution. And losing that important of an empire bulwark would be disastrous for the west - only Rwanda and Uganda outrank it in the region.

American Communism failed due to first world war. They were getting double digits in Oklahoma, Nevada and Montana but the anti-war position wasn’t popular.

Its Guatemala not Nicaragua. The Collapse of the Federal Republic of Central America continues to doom the region however.
