I think it's funny that dog DNA tests are more accurate than for humans. That is because someone defined a breed and then started tracking that for years. Since these breeders have almost complete control over the mating behaviour of their dogs we can define a breed. Humans are not like that. We move and mate everywhere we want

Without getting in a fight. Why is it called coming out of the closest? Where did it begin? I mean why not a garagde or a bedroom or something? How did it become a reference to homosexuals? in c/nostupidquestions@lemmy.world

In my head the closet part involves someone jumping out of bed and hiding in the nearest place to hide. A closet.

If you measure the weight of a glass of water and then freeze that same glass the weight will not change. The volume will increase but the mass will be static which accounts for the decrease in density
