Oh for sure. If it does actually exist though, it's definitely gonna be a $40 Chinese whitelabel model.

Oh it's 100% gonna be an MVNO, it's expensive as fuck to roll out new infrastructure, and something like that certainly wouldn't go unnoticed anyway.

It's just gonna be the worst shit-tier kind of MVNO. Like Cricket back in the 2000s. Service = maybe.

There are numerous errors on the page, from a processor section that doesn’t list a processor

Shit-tier Mediatek. Calling it now.

True. Then it'll get absorbed by one of the bigger MVNOs, or one of the main networks' prepaid services, and become a cheap subsidiary or just get dissolved completely. But by that point they'll already be onto the next grift.

It's going to be a cheap low-priority MVNO with deceptive wording to make it sound like its own independent network. Absolutely zero chance it'll be competitive in any way.

Don't quote me on this, but I've heard SpaceX itself is pretty good at keeping Musk away from the actually important things. Something about having a team dedicated to keeping him distracted.

I do both - older vehicles always needing attention, and self-hosting shit

How about no. I've been wanting a pocketable "do everything" device since I got a Tiger Electronics PokeDex as a kid. Don't take this away from me.

How about better regulations on the obscene amount of data collection going on behind our backs? I can't count how many times I've come across even just websites that have a giant "accept all cookies" button, but in order to reject any, you have to dig through layers and layers of "settings". The most I've seen was 80+. And that's just websites.

I'm about to wipe my phone and go all-in on Calyx OS.

I used Cloudflare tunneling for a while, then started to have similar thoughts. I'm off Cloudflare now.

Working on getting my data and making sure some friends know how to contact me outside of it.

I don't use DMs on Lemmy, either.

Yeah, I stopped using it a while ago. Need to get my data off and then it's getting deleted,

Imagine being a Facebook user since it's inception and realizing how little they actually care about privacy

Hi, it's me, I'm that person 😑😑😑
