you might get gnomed anyway but in the form of flatpak dependencies (which is less visible since it's usually one block instead of many individual packages and you won't see it in your login screen). worse, you might need to install multiple versions of the same dependencies if you use packages that depend on the same core but different versions.

like, using flatpak has it's uses and i get why people want them but they also have a fair share of downsides that have to be part of the tradeoff balance

is this really a common thought or is this just a "modern devs do not care about accesibility" thing? it has been a long time since i got involved with tui programming but i remember the general thought was that clis were accesible because of the model, not because they were text

been using that one for a while and while i fully support using it and find it great, it is important to warn that the voice assistant is very limited by design. it responds to specific phrases (like "turn off the lights of the bathroom") well but it will not understand variants of the same phrase (turn on the lights that are on the bathroom)

i don't use reminders but i have read that they are supported so maybe they could work? it should also be possible to connect them to llms but i also haven't tried it.
