I believe short term there is an increase, give that a lot of people are braving stuff they can't afford to fix. But it stabilizes and reduces in the long term cause as society becomes healthy, and with other health initiatives like healthy eating, exercise and preemptive healthcare, it normalizes with a general reduction in staff numbers.

Ethiopia has a better relationship with Russia than Eritrea and because, weirdly, Eritrea and Israel have a fairly good relationship, so my friends enemy is not necessarily my enemy, in this case, but a good contact to sell weapons to while I look for money to find my special military operation, and take my skim for you know, war effort. Also noted is that Ethiopia and Israel are fairly good friends, but I believe Israel operates some military out of Eritrea.

However, Russia will flip weapons to Ethiopia and Eritrea and watch them shoot it out. That being said, Ethiopia is the bigger monster when it comes to equipment because of its licensed manufacturing deal for old Soviet hardware, up to large field guns, I think, but is battle fatigued. Eritrea has far greater manpower of highly trained but poorly motivated and poorly equipped soldiers. Null sum game.

Also, they aren't going to fight. Aferwerki has enough problems at home, and his own tenure is at risk. Age has caught up and younger upstarts are sensing blood in the water. So while his avenue is to distract with a ports war, conveniently, it is again, a null sum game.

All hail Somaliland. The new powerbroker and infrastructure operator in the region.

What did you have for lunch?

Same here. Makes me consider just doing my own thing instead and rolling my own extra backup system. Something to consider.

That aside, I'm surprised at how there is a VPS limitation at both Netcup and OVH. Netcup is selling ARM as the closest alternative. OVH is selling Canada as the closest option. I found it weird.

Had considered Hetzner, not going down that route. If only Scaleway had services in the US. Well, their snapshots are marked as copy on write, so my assumption is that for every write, there is replication somewhere.

Check their website.

I am looking to run a few root servers and my ideal was going to be Netcup's RS units cause they have a good rep and EU & US choices aren't bad. However, Netcup isn't currently offering them in Manassas VA (US), which was a requirement for me to kick-start it.

My project is already into the final line, and this was a bit of a bombshell, so I have to figure out who else offers near equivalents for the same thing.

One thing that is key is backup and their Snapshots (Copy-On-Write) were a big deal for me as I am dealing with 3rd party data.

Who else can offer the same in both EU/US with the same storage options and so on?

Appreciated

Edit*

I checked with OVH and at the moment, they only have Canada for options. US is sold out. Feels weirdly wrong. Netcup don't have a timeline for US updates.

Well, if you ever fancy another go, there is a Discord community that helps with such situations. That is how I am planning on de-Googling, once I stop being lazy.

There is a solid Lineage (build) that is floating around that is regularly updated. Been too lazy to do up my phone but now I have incentive.

Yeah. I saw. It's a potential hopeful that a Slim 2 is on the way. This would make my year. Given the success of this lineup, I feel positive about them following through. But it also means a Pocket 2 before a Slim 2 so we are going to wait for awhile.

Hi,

I've selfhosted Grav for two years going to three, but I want to move on to something else. I am looking for a flatfile CMS. I have experimented a bit and the best I found so far is Automad, but it isn't quite there. What alternatives can you recommend? PHP is where I am leaning.

Thanks.

Edit: Given my unclear query, I have struggled themeing. It has always been a pain and for whatever reason, documenting is somewhat unclear.
