Without thinking, I pick at the skin around my fingernails. Sigh. But when I do reach for a fidget, I have a spinner and one of those Needoh gumdrops that is satisfyingly squishy.

Exactly. I have to carry nail clippers all the time to try and keep myself from picking to the bleeding point.
