Don't be such an apologist for the police, if they let this incredible of a security breach happen, they can damn well run the investigation while people protest, the police have proven in this instance that they are actively making the people they are "protecting" less safe.
Like.. let this sink through your skull here, the agency responsible with protecting our most valued political leaders was so incredibly incompetent that a stranger? dressed in their uniform was able to carry a firearm within shooting distance of a nationally important VIP political figure, discharge it multiple times and escape. This is worse than a failure of police, it is literally proof that the police are fighting against the very interests they claim to be defending... i.e. non-violence, peace, rule of democracy NOT of brute strength and justice.
I am not suggesting a conspiracy with the police here, rather that the police itself are a conspiracy of projecting violence onto suffering in order to justify violence against those who are suffering. This was the inveitable answer to the call of the militarization of the police, I am not suggesting it was a coordinated answer.
No, stop listening to law enforcement telling you to fall in line, that is the most dangerous thing you can do right now, peacefully resist in every way you can which includes not shutting up and hiding out of fear when you are told to shut up and hide out of fear by law enforcement.
