Tried the PowerPoint clone. Opened our corporate template and hit present. Presentation mode runs sluggish as hell. OnlyOffice is way smoother by comparison.

Uninstalled it right away.

Had the pleasure of installing some HPE proprietary crap on RHEL the other day.

After the cli installer ran it printed: rebooting now.

It then killed PID 1 to force the reboot ...

We were flabbergasted. Why would the first and only method of asking the system to reboot be to shoot the system in the head?

I'm looking for a free OS, should it be Debian or Arch Linux(community)? in c/linuxmemes@lemmy.world

Fedora is so, so nice. I have it on all my personal computers.

At my work they only tolerate Ubuntu. My God, it can be so frustrating. Snap gets in the way constantly. Somehow Ubuntu LTS seems to have a knack for precisely choosing the worst package versions for a workstation.

Fedora on the other hand just gets out of my way and lets me get shit done.
