They can do what Ukraine did, buy drone parts from China to make the most of their defense budget.
Because shit for brains says we just need to train our AI models until they're sentient. So that means we need all our workers reviewing the output of AI as much as possible until that happens.

There's a plenty of ideological reasons, but I think it is partly the environment being so stressful makes it harder for people to be considerate to new viewpoints or people.
