It's a scam at best. At worst you find yourself being part of a death game, thinking you can win all the money by killing all of the other players - only to get executed in the end anyway.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Suicide_legislation

Getting detained and sent to a medical institution doesn't make suicide attempts a crime.

You claim that suffering is bad, at the same time you're insulting other people.

If you're a masochist or sadist, then yes, suffering (either your own or the suffering of others) gives your life purpose...

I only know one country where suicide (attempt) was illegal in the past (UK). Aside from that you get sent to a medical facility in most countries.

I would ask for more details and then do an analysis of the dream, knowing that the dream has nothing to do with me. I'm just a symbol for something else, like a feeling or thought.

That would be the opening prelude of Final Fantasy VII. You immediately understand what the themes of the game are when listening to it, it's highly effective in portraying things/feelings like loss, despair, melancholy, overcome, hope. And all of that with a rather limited set of instruments (compared to other compositions). It's pure and sincere without being kitschy. Nothing is hidden or ambiguous or pretentious. It wears its big broken heart on its sleeve in the best possible way. It's a masterpiece.

Oh. Never watched the show or read the comics...

No. It's about you, me and everyone else throwing money at people who have more than we do. And at the same time we all take from those who have less than we have. This helps us with securing our position in social hierarchy (to some degree) which also stabilizes the hierarchy. This is how we work as human beings, it's our very nature.

The billionaires. There are many reasons, but my favorite is the Matthew effect.

To be fair - there are also homeless people who never did drugs or drank (or gambled and so on) in the first place. Because of that they actually don't qualify for any of those programs.
