USA M4A3 Sherman 76mm Medium Tank.

The M4 Sherman Tank was the standard U.S. tank in the Second World War. This tank was assigned to the 4th Armored Division and was disabled by German gunfire during the Battle of the Bulge, December 1944 - January 1945.

Additional armor plate applied to the front and turret of this tank was partially successful. Several enemy antitank rounds ricocheted harmlessly. One enemy round bounced off the armor and destroyed the gun barrel.

The Special Purpose Individual Weapon was part of a long-running weapons development program to develop a flechette-firing weapon that was supplemented by a grenade launcher. Rock Island Arsenal's Weapons Command received the project in 1962 as part of the organization of Army Materiel Command.

Four competitors submitted weapon designs: Harrington & Richardson Arms Company, Winchester Arms, AAl Corp., and Springfield Armory. Trials were held in 1964 with both Winchester and Harrington & Richardson being eliminated.

When Springfield Armory closed in 1968, AAI Corp. took over as the lead on the project and developed the XM19. By 1979, the Army concluded the XM19 did not meet the needs of the program, and it was abandoned. Despite its cancellation, the project's work on grenade launchers led to the development of the XM203, adopted in 1969 as the M203 40-mm. grenade launcher. The M203 replaced the M79 launcher.

Nebelwerfer means "Smoke Projector."

This six-barreled rocket launcher was standard equipment in the German Army during the Second World War. It was called the "Moaning Minnie" by American troops due to the sound its cluster of rockets made in flight. It was fired electrically by remote control at a rate of six rounds every 90 seconds. It was one of the most effective and sophisticated pieces of rocket artillery used in the war.

This is Minoan clay model of a house. Initially thought to be a child’s toy, it’s now seen as a construction model for a real house. Its architectural motifs are typical for the middle Minoan period when the palace complexes were at their height.
