Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

It seems like cancer is the biggest thing we all think of when it comes to medicine and what we’d most like to eradicate from our species. So my question is phrased this way out of curiosity what the second worst thing medicine is currently trying to eradicate.

Unless they are jacking it right before but that raises the other question is how do they get hard medically or physically with out attention right before they jump a woman? Never new a man who could a person who could walk or jack it quick enough to finish? So how does the mental status overcome the bodies function of walk and jack?

Putting appointed officials aside for now. If the voters put them in and they pull a bait and switch, why shouldn’t they be capable of being recalled? I would assume it would need a higher threshold than just the normal vote, similar to impeachment.

A good example is Fetterman. He’s completely done a 180 and not what the people voted for, yet as I understand it, Congress-critters can’t be recalled.

If 8.1 billion people marched on a government, even with a full array of advanced and nuclear weapons in their arsenal, would they still definitely lose? What about one billion? A hundred million? Ten million? Where do you think the line is?

Caveat: The government does want to be able to live on earth again within their lifetimes, but can spend up to a year in bunkers, and the military doesn’t revolt- given that nuclear weapons can be deployed by one person, the worst option doesn’t even really require the military’s cooperation.

I'm talking about after going through borders and I put away the US Passport...

And the average everyday people ask me "where are you from?"

Like if the place has anti-American sentinments, could I just pretend to be... not American...

cuz you know... the US has been getting a bad rap recently due to ahem a certain person in Capitol Hill...

Like most people in the world falsely assume "American" = "White" anyways...

They'd never suspect a thing... would they?

I can speak Cantonese and Mandarin... I can try faking a Chinese person's accent when speaking English. Or pretend to be a Hong Konger (via the Cantonese). Or pretend to be Taiwanese (most people can't tell the difference between the sound of Mainland Mandarin vs Taiwan Mandarin).

I heard that there are people who hate Chinese tourists... so is this actually gonna backfire?

But then again, I might also get hit with the double-whammy of "looking Chinese" while "acting like an American".

So this is basically like code switching... but with national identity...

Is this morally okay? Or am I like crossing some ethical line here? Is this like the "cultural appropriation" thing where it's inappropriate to do?

The one where it encourages people to work within the system but sabotage it by fucking up with plausible deniability

EDIT : I found this : https://theanarchistlibrary.org/library/revoluciana-facing-fascism-sabotage

I live in Austria where every person is an organ donor and you have to opt-out of it. Even children are donors if their parents don’t opt them out. As a result, more than 99% of Austrians are organ donors. It never occurred to me that it could be the other way around.

So my parents take the trash can and put it TOUCHING the table where you put food... in order to clear the table, and sometimes they FORGET TO WASH THEIR HANDS after TOUCHING THE TRASH CAN and then start touching other stuff... sometimes even cooking stuff...

one time I even saw the trash can ON TOP OF THE FUCKING TABLE so its supposedly easier to put the stuff into the teash can...

And even if they wash their hands... they often times (most of the time) DO NOT USE SOAP...

Sometimes they take the trash can and move it around to collect trash WHILE INGREDIENTS ARE LYING AROUND.... like what if you accidentally stuff from the trash can just like... hops over the gap and contaminate stuff?

Like dont fucking get the trash can so close to food FFS

Also they sometimes (VERY OFTEN) don't wash their hands after using the bathroom... I hear them touching the bathroom lids...

Also they put used toilet paper in a trash can... (different trash can in the bathroom)

sometimes I hear mom touch that trash can without washing hands...

My parents tell me I'm being germophobic...

I'm not crazy am I?

Is this just how most people life?

The fuck?

Edit: I'm gonna copy paste one of my comments below, to right here:

spoilerSo... okay my house is kinda fucked up...

There's this issue with the 2nd floor bathtub randomly leaking...

Here's a picture of what the ceiling looks like right now:

So they had to put a container below where it leaks:

So they sometimes take this container and put it on the table to collect the trash... Like ON THE TABLE...

Ewww bathtub drain water is gonna contaminate it...

Also the table looks like this right now:

Literally like 95% of the stuff on there stays on there like 365 days a year... its been like this since like 2017 as far as I can remember...

Maybe if guests come they clear the table... then aftet they leave shit goes back to the old ways...

Also, regarding the bathroom... nah... I'll spare you the photo... don't even want that nasty image in my photo album... just picture a small bin next to the toilet with a bunch of USED toilet paper...

Why eat a sugary meal right before going to bed?

  1. Food high in sugar is nutritionally good for short burst energy, and if not used up, that energy is stored as fat. Since people generally go to sleep after meals are they not wasting this potential short-release energy yield?

  2. Let's consider instead that we eat dessert specifically to put on fat. Well, this may have been desirable as an outcome historically, but for a long time - maybe 200 years or so - humans have NOT wanted to build fat. Also - it doesn't work. We burn fat during sleep, so those 'dessert gains' disappear.

  3. Now let us visit the simplest answer of "it tastes good" - well in that case, why do we eat dessert when we do? We could eat sugary snack at any point of the day - a dessert-lunch might make a lot of sense! So let me repeat myself:

Why eat a sugary meal right before going to bed?

Dude, in Power, Power Book II: Ghost, Empire, Succession, even in some K-dramas about wealthy people, they’re wearing designer stuff in every episode—even in their casual streetwear, hell, even their nightclothes! Is this unrealistic, or do rich people actually have ALL high-end designer clothes? Do some have shirts from Walmart or something?

To me it is like giving crack to a crack feind. Takes care of the problem short term but still stuck in the same spot. Basically the US is an oil fiend and will do anything and I mean anything to get our hands on it. For the long term prupose I have no idea ..do you?

Just seems like its adversarial media/hollywood makes fun of politics and people the whomever pokes back all in jest. Now it seems the joke taking or whatever has become serious and dangerous in tone. How did that become so? I can only think of McCarthism when it started.

I notice this especially with my Norwegian learning. People are rude, call me names, or make fun of me on Reddit for using the wrong word or "en" vs "et" or using a direct translation because I don't know how they say it in Norwegian, like saying somethng like «Ingen av bedriften din!» instead of «Dette er ikke din sak» (according to the casual version of Bing Translate) whereas a Norwegian-speaking Fediverse member would just say something like "You're doing good, but it's actually _____."

I dig through my memories and I remember this was a thing since I was a kid. Like I remember my mom just constantly saying "We love you a lot, do you know that?" and then straight up asking me: "Do you love your mom and dad?" (speaking in 3rd person for some reason) then followed by "Do you love mom or dad more?"... and I remember always just answering that: Yes I love them, and mom more than dad... (I remember that is probably just honestly how I felt, I never lied about it)

I don't remember dad ever asking this...

Sometimes (when I was younger) mom asked me: "If mom and dad got a divorce, who are you going with?"...

wtf mom

And like sometimes they argue then threaten divorce...

So... mom has higher income so I feel like at the time I just told her I'd go with her solely because of the financial stability... (I mean dad also doesn't really show affection... 🤷‍♂️)

(This was many years ago, during my teenage years. The divorce thing never happened, empty threats...)

...

Now as a young adult, I'm dealing with depression and she still says this... and like I feel very awkward when she asks me "Do you love me?"

I do feel an attachment towards her, but idk if you can call it "love" per se.

So sometimes I stay quiet... so it just ended with an awkward silence...

Then mom was like: "Do you you not love me? Do you hate me?"

No wtf mom, that's not what I meant...

Do parents just do that? Are they seeking validation about their decision to choose to have children?

Cultural Context: My family is ethnically Chinese.
