Donald Trump described Russia’s double ballistic missile strike on the Ukrainian city of Sumy that killed 35 and wounded 117 as a “mistake” by the Russians.

But it’s no such thing.

The Sunday attack on Sumy, like the April 4 strike on Kryvyi Rih, where a Russian ballistic missile filled with cluster munitions killed 20 people and wounded 80, is actually part of a Russian military strategy. The aim is to terrorize the civilian population and turn them against the Ukrainian military and government, forcing them to sue for peace with Moscow.

I'm honestly kind of shocked about the reporting this gets. Russia has been doing this since the start of the war. Why is there such a wave of reporting about this topic that sounds like this is anything new?

In fact they have been doing these exact things in every war they’ve fought for decades now. This is who these people are. It’s their doctrine. And they won’t change it.

Meanwhile everyone is taking about peace, deals and ceasefires. There can be no such thing as long as the people making these decisions are in power in the Kremlin.

Maybe journalists should write less about Trumps sham peace talks and follow Russia's actions more closely, maybe then they wouldn’t be so surprised by this attack on civilians that, while gruesome and despicable, has been their modus operandi for a long time.

Well. To be fair. Nobody is talking about that except the cult of the swine. Absolutely no other nation other than the agressor bunch is doing that. But you allow the domestic news and opinions decide for you too if this is your perspective.

Maybe I misunderstand what you’re saying but reporting about peace deals and ceasefires is everywhere here in Germany. On a mainstream news basis there has been little Ukraine-related reporting besides that, in fact. Until the Sumy attack.

They mean ceasefire, not fake ceasefire negotiations

I’m sorry but I really don’t understand what you’re saying.

Russia propaganda machine pretend (4-6 strikes) to enter ceasefire but continue bombarding and attacking
