As President Donald Trump formally inaugurated his so-called Board of Peace at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, on Thursday, his son-in-law Jared Kushner presented his vision of turning the Gaza Strip into an upscale seaside resort with gleaming skyscrapers and entirely new cities. The proposal is said to require an investment of at least $25 billion, and Kushner’s presentation showed a map of the besieged territory divided into different zones. This all comes as Palestinians in Gaza struggle to survive with little food or shelter amid ongoing Israeli restrictions on aid.

“It’s hard to take these people seriously. I mean, they’re buffoonish. But the problem is, is that they control the largest military and economy in the world,” says Sharif Abdel Kouddous, the Middle East and North Africa editor at Drop Site News. He calls the Board of Peace “a parody of a colonial body” and says the plan for Gaza will result in “ultimate control and subjugation” of the Palestinian population.

No fucking shit. But I'm sure all those Palestinians in Gaza are so relieved that Kamala Harris didn't win the 2024 election!

[–] a_non_monotonic_function@lemmy.world 13 points 5 days ago (3 children)

My God we dodged a bullet. First period hits and suddenly we are kidnapping world leaders and trying to invade allies to take them over.

Sigh. Women just aren't built for the pressure, unfortunately.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 11 points 5 days ago (2 children)

But she's a neolib! But she's a career prosecutor! But her laugh! womp womp womp

All the idiots who didn't vote for her: "Why aren't you stopping trump?!?!?"

[–] wewbull@feddit.uk 7 points 5 days ago (3 children)

She was the least worst candidate without a doubt. She wasn't a good candidate.

[–] athatet@lemmy.zip 3 points 5 days ago

Literal hitler 2.0

Vs

Well, she’s just not a good candidate

We’re fucking cooked.

Sure, but when we say that we have to acknowledge that Trump had zero qualities of an actual candidate.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 2 points 5 days ago

Well, you know what they say about democracy. It's the best out of all the bad options...

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago

it make sense why she chose the extremely passive tim walz

[–] EndlessNightmare@reddthat.com 4 points 5 days ago (2 children)

Misogyny and racism may or may not have been part of why she lost the election. And I'm leaning towards the former.

[–] Paragone@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

Both.

White-supremacism AND male-supremacism ( NO macho would DARE vote for a woman leader! NO "biblical relationship" man would tolerate a woman leader. etc. ).

That and Biden fucking-over her campaign by refusing to budge.

Except for her total backing of in-my-opinion-psychopath Netanyahu, I think she might well have been 1 of the US's best presidents.

No matter:

the people who "elected" Harris will, "I'm sure", "prevent" Trump from using the Insurrection Act to enforce his insurrection against the US Constitution.

"just wait: it'll blow-over, & status-quo will re-assert normalcy: we don't have any responsibility to act, we're elected. We have entitlement." or some such thing..

The tippingpoint should be fatally crossed in Feb, by the looks of things, now..

2nd-half of Feb looks to be the end of this world's waltz with pseudodemocracy ( representative-republic ISN'T democracy: it is 1-times removed from that, with the electorate deciding on the citizen's behalf what the country/region/municipality does ).

Prep, if you can: this won't end, once it begins.

It's final.

Regional-consolidation, each region facing only its own wars, ignoring other-regions,

Americas, Europe ( China will supplant Russia, while Putin's playing "Tzar" rampaging Europe ), Asia ( China won't be interfered-with while it's rampaging Asia ), & Middle-East & Africa ( Saudi Arabia, probably, owning that empire )

only once the regions are consolidated will the region-against-region deathmatch get going, in the 2030's.

Just clarifying what people aren't seeing, is all.

Forewarned is forarmed.

PS: I read the beginning of her book, & she seemed sane, intelligent, thinking, & upright.

( I've thousands of books on my to-read list, so having not finished her book makes it .. in the same category as all my other books! : )

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 3 points 5 days ago

most certainly did, but the other is fuckery in the voting machine by musk.

[–] Tollana1234567@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago (1 children)

trump got all these leaders in one room,

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 2 points 5 days ago

"leaders" in this case meaning dictators, corrupt sycophants, and puppets?

Any self-respecting leaders sat this one out.

For posterity, could you remind everyone what Kamala's plan was for stopping the genocide and standing up to Israel to protect the Palestinians in Gaza?

For clarity: I missed it because I quickly decided how I was going to vote, so I didn't follow the campaigns all that closely once I had made my decision.

[–] wonderingwanderer@sopuli.xyz 7 points 5 days ago (1 children)

Whatever it was, it would have been magnitudes better than what trump is doing. Biden literally sent a ship to Gaza filled with humanitarian aid, but they left because hamas wouldn't stop lobbing mortars at them.

Of course, some people won't be satisfied with anything less than "from the river to the sea," but honestly I'm not a fan of ethnic cleansings no matter who's doing it. So if the only way to satisfy is to fellate hamas, then I really can't be bothered...

[–] Paragone@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago* (last edited 3 days ago)

I'm only identifying Hamas's unconscious strategy, in their idiotic attack against Netanyahu's "Israel":

  1. bait Netanyahu's "Israel" into parading its narcissistic, machiavellian, psychopathic, sadistic, nihilistic nature on the world, sacrificing Palestine for the future-victory..
  2. Netanyahu takes the bait, & then through their removing all care throughout the region about what Netanyahu's "Israel" can do to them, make an ocean of suicide-troops against "Israel".
  3. Once nobody's DETERRED, anymore, then "Israel"'s "deterrent" evaporated, & then .. "Israel" gets annihilated.

Any Arab state which isn't working towards that annihilation, given the terrorism of the "zionists", .. well, I wouldn't want to be in Arab politics, either way.

https://euromedmonitor.org/en/article/6669/Euro-Med-Monitor:-Israel%E2%80%99s-brutality-in-Gaza-surpasses-all-recent-forms-of-terrorism

Israel holocausted multiple nations, millenia ago.

"17 Rather you must destroy them completely — the Hitti, the Emori, the Kena‘ani, the P’rizi, the Hivi and the Y’vusi — as Adonai your God has ordered you;"

that's from https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Deuteronomy+20%3A17&version=CJB

"The Final Solution"'s FIRST implimentation, ttbomk.

( it was "The Alphabet Versus the Goddess", by Leonard Shlain, which clued me in to this. iirc, he didn't notice that the Inquisitors were also both alphabet-programmed & rabid, in their time )

I'd read that the "zionists" were using Ezekiel 39 to justify their action ( obviously Jeremiah & Isaiah contradict their action ), but can't see anything in it they could readily use..

sigh

https://www.biblegateway.com/passage/?search=Ezekiel+39&version=AMP

clearer than CJB,

7 months of just burying the enemy..

I think that is what the "zionists" are using to anchor their supremacism-entitlement ideology on.

The problem is that there's a Jewish prophecy ( the root-guru of the Christians, Yesua benJoseph WAS Jewish, he was Essene, not Pharisee, so he's a non-person, contempted, by them, but .. )

"15 “So when you see the abomination that causes devastation spoken about through the prophet Dani’el standing in the Holy Place”[a] (let the reader understand the allusion), 16 “that will be the time for those in Y’hudah to escape to the hills. 17 If someone is on the roof, he must not go down to gather his belongings from his house; 18 if someone is in the field, he must not turn back to get his coat. 19 What a terrible time it will be for pregnant women and nursing mothers! 20 Pray that you will not have to escape in winter or on Shabbat. 21 For there will be trouble then worse than there has ever been from the beginning of the world until now, and there will be nothing like it again![b] 22 Indeed, if the length of this time had not been limited, no one would survive; but for the sake of those who have been chosen, its length will be limited."

& that "trouble then, worse than there has ever been from the beginning of the world until now, and there will be nothing like it again!" bit .. is about to become true, no matter what anybody believes.

So, 6x ( according to Deuteronomy, theres some other book which orders 7 exterminations, can't remember which one, but it might be a book which begins with a "J" ) .. Israel holocausted others,

then 6x others holocausted the nation of Israel ( an author named Eitan Bar identified that, in one of his books ),

& now they're holocausting Palestinians, & according to that part of Matt 24, Israel's getting annihilated at a time .. just like now.

Action->reaction, aka what someone "sows", they "reap", using benJoseph's rendition of the concept "karma".

The REAL problem isn't these "political" meanings:

our collective-unconscious is committed to enacting its toddler-ego myths, with militaries, industries, all technology dystopia can enforce, & even nukes, if required, .. is the REAL problem.

Apocalypse? enforce it.

Genociding for "supremacism"? embody & enact it.

etc.

All for ego-conquests, like ungulates battering heads, for their "authority" on Earth.

the use of the word "behemoth" in their bible seems to be a recognition of humankind's herdbeast-nature, prone to trampling all worth to smithereens, prone to stampeding, the ego-battering, etc..

Brilliant insight, & done back when psychology wasn't a science, too..

PS: I wonder if all the murders there, in the last few millenia, have turned "the Holy Land" into "the Unholy Land"?

Lemme know how trump is gonna treat them asshole.

[–] EndlessNightmare@reddthat.com 1 points 5 days ago

Do you think that the decision I came to early on was to vote for Trump?
