Air Transat is cancelling its last two flights into Florida as of this spring, suspending all of its business into the United States.

It makes sense for them to cut those flights if there's insufficient demand. But at the same time, not much of value is being lost. I flew Air Transat years ago on a long haul flight. I was warned beforehand it would be a no-frills flight. But holy shit, that was an understatement.

They were flying two flights a day to both locations.

Combined with Westjet dropping a large number of US flights as well, it is a noticeable drop.

I've flown with them once, but i was very happy with the experience. That might be because I'm used to Ryanair though.

Haha yeah. That's a very very low bar.

I flew with them na flight to Cancun thirty years ago or so. Iirc we had to turn back to the departing airport because they forgot to refuel before takeoff lol.

Ya, it’s mostly a charter airline.
