This motherfucker was elected on promises not to entangle us in more foreign wars, and to his credit, he actually disentangled us from several in his first term. (Most notably Syria and Afghanistan, though Biden did his best to keep us enmeshed in the forever WoT.)

Of course, when one is faced with the revelation of one's pedophilia to the world, I suppose wagging the dog becomes a more important priority, even if tens of thousands of people are killed in the process.

If you actually think we stopped being involved in Syria and Afghanistan even after the main force returned, I have a bridge to sell you.

Oh, I have no illusions about that. I recall when Barack Obama supposedly ended the Iraq war but just called the 50,000 servicemen he left behind 'advisers' instead of 'soldiers'.

But comparing small-scale covert action to large-scale military deployment is apples-to-oranges. I also think one of the few good things about Donald is his reticence to resort to large-scale military deployments, and I wish Obama and Biden had been that way too.

Yeah, he was elected on that and his famous truthfulness.

I dunno, seems like a lot of the bad shit he promised he is doing or at least attempting.

That's what frustrates me about politicians in general:

they promise bad shit and follow through with it

they promise something good and crickets

Problem with your logic is he actually did draw down protracted wars in his first term.

He surrendered in Afghanistan.

True, and it was a good thing. It's so dumb that Afghanistan went on for 2+ decades and there were no real goals. America was just killing and displacing millions of people for the purpose of wounded pride and socialism for rich, evil people.
