Getting rid of Trump would go a long way to solving this problem. It obviously wouldn't fix things completely...but it would be a great place to start mending these relationships.

Trump is a symptom, not the cause. His death is going to be a momentary reprieve like his loss in 2020 was. I knew we were cooked when he got 75 million votes at the height of COVID in 2020.

Republicans and America in general have been like this for decades. Trump is the result of 50 years of right wing planning and propaganda on top of American selfishness.

I’m of the opinion when he’s gone not much will change and in fact it might enable more rightward slide.

The GOP will use him as an excuse. They’ll say “oh it was all Trump all along. He was an evil mastermind that had us all fooled and held us hostage with his MAGA loonies”

The left won’t have a figurehead as despicable as Trump to focus all their rage on since Trump makes JD Vance look sane to the average American simply because JD can form complete sentences.
