No he said "fucking" and "bastards" specifically.

[–] Taldan@lemmy.world 10 points 2 hours ago (1 children)

I know NY Post is a rag, but it's so disrespectful to their readers to act as if we're incapable of reading the words "fucking" amd "bastards"

[–] WanderingThoughts@europe.pub 1 points 12 minutes ago

It's the advertisers they're worried about.

If we can't quote our president without censor than why the fuck do we have censors? Our leader has spoken we should have no reason to censor his words.

Trying to imagine the poor kids trying to study history 50 years from now. Either half the quotes from him are censored, or we drop the "decency" standards a few notches

After my last trip to Australia, I've decided cunt is no longer a profanity. It's used by Aussies north to south so indiscriminately now.

I blame social media and short form content platforms (YouTube, Instagram and tiktok). They're the ones who implemented TOS and bots/moderators to remove any comments that people don't like seeing, and bent over backwards to cater to companies and advertisers who are too prudish to have bad words tied to their products and services.

[–] middlemanSI@lemmy.world 5 points 2 hours ago

I loathe how they mute words in songs.

I your swearsies say "... cock [removed] ass..." for me, so whatever that last one was, is too naughty for lemmy.ml

[–] anguo@piefed.ca 2 points 29 minutes ago

It's the word for "female dog".
