The Iranian leadership are crazy religious fanatics but they don’t strike me as stupid.

Even if they were completely devoted to their flavor of Abrhamic religion...

Ironically enough their prophecy requires Muslims and Christians to unite against the antichrist, and then Jesus (yes that Jesus) comes down and kills the antichrist and tells everyone to convert to Islam.

Then there's a schism where Christians say Jesus saved everyone, and Muslims say that it was really God acting thru Jesus just like last time.

Like, that's the most ridiculous part of it, that there's still supposed to be beef after they both unite under Jesus against the antichrist.

And it's why I fully have them cozying up to the fucking pope on my bingo card as my center square. Especially since their timeline has always been "over 2,000 years later". They haven't been kicking the can for centuries, this is when they always said it would happen.

If they want to bring about their end times, they're gonna build a global multi-cultural opposition group to trump, because he clearly fits all the predictions for the anti-christ.

According to Islamic apocalyptics, having ascended to heaven and dwelled there for 2000+ years, Jesus will descend to earth shortly before Judgement Day, in the midst of wars fought against al-Masih ad-Dajjal ('The False Messiah") and his followers, to come to the aid of the Mahdi and his Muslim followers. Dressed in saffron robes with his head anointed, Jesus will descend at the point of a white minaret, in eastern Damascus, which is believed to be the Minaret of Isa in the Umayyad Mosque.[92] He will then greet the Mahdi and (being a Muslim) pray beside him. Eventually, Jesus will slay the Dajjal at Lod.[93]

Afterwards, he will "break the cross, kill the pigs, and abolish the Jizya tax", according to a well-known Sahih al-Bukhari hadith.[94][95] "The usual interpretation" of this prophecy is that, being a Muslim, Jesus will put a stop to Christian worship of himself and in belief in his divinity, "symbolized by the cross". He will re-establish the Kosher/Halal dietary laws abandoned by Christianity;[96] and because Jews and Christians will now all reject their former faith and accept Islam, there will be no more need for the jizya tax on unbelievers.[97]

But at least theirs has a goal of peace on Earth instead of hell on Earth:

After the death of the Mahdi, Jesus will assume world leadership and peace and justice will be universal.

Funny how the religion of the Trump's supporters claim almost the same thing, but explicitly single out everybody turning against Jews, and of course Jesus is on their side.

Almost like every new version blames the last...
