It's exhausting. Every single time there's so much as an article about "Keir caught picking his nose", you get a barrage of echo-chamber 'Muricans in the comments pointing going

"HA! SEE? YOU GUYS ARE WAYYY MORE FASCIST AND DYSTOPIAN THAN US!!! USA, USA!"

As if we're also being hunted by ICE for sport lmao

It's just projection (and the inability to think about any country besides their own for 5 minutes)
