Rule 5: Keep it civil. It's OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It's NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.

I'll not be assassinating anyone and you won't suggest anything productive other than some kumbaya, "take care of your neighbors" bullshit. So, to take care of my mental health, I'll avoid every single tiny thing he does that media garnishes outage with.

They didn't. They said someone close to him. You jumped from that to it being something personal for you to do.
It's a continuation of your doomerism. The task needs to be impossible so you can justify inaction.
They then clarified that; for you personally doing something as simple as working with a mutual aid organization.
But you're doubling down on the misunderstanding. A misunderstanding that allows you to sit in doomerism and pretend that the only actions being advocated for are impossible ones.
The point is: no, he is not some "all powerful force" that can't be stopped. He's a human that can be shot dead tomorrow. Because your original comment is acting like it's time to ignore the news and close your eyes because "there is nothing I can do".
Go touch some grass and find a DSA or PSL meetup in your area. Just be around some people aren't doomers. If you're gonna stop doom scrolling that's your best bet to not just isolating yourself in inaction.
