The future could be so fun with the technology we have, but we're ruled by imaginationless corporate minimalists.
Big Tech has boundless imagination when it comes to invading your privacy and putting you under surveillance every which way. And they even managed to convince people to give them their hard-earned for the privilege!
People pay beaucoup bucks for smart nonsense like this idiotic toaster, and voluntarily turn themselves into the manufacturer's true product. The dystopia that people have slowly accepted as their new normal over the past 30 years is nothing short of staggering.
A non-religious "Amen!" To that. It's so sad...
One thing that scares me even more than smart phones or toasters are these health monitors, constantly sending your pulse, temperature and whatnot home. And the way people justify using them you'd think 30, nay ten years ago everybody died of preventable diseases.
(and yes I know this can be useful for the elderly or otherwise endangered)
Minimalist is not how I'd describe the endless amount of spectacle and triggering but useless "features" on everything
Sleek boring silver rectangles with glass sides that you touch and swipe at.
Bring them back
Well, one of these is actually modern
It doesn't have to be so boring.
