Yeah, it's not for the workers or the idea of American built stuff. I'm sure it's better if people buy Chinese

Tesla use BYD batteries, and they're the real heart of the car

So.... They're already Chinese where it counts

Tesla use BYD, Panasonic, their own. American made model Y and anything else that uses the new battery form factor use Tesla batteries made in America; other cars made in the US use US made Panasonic and Tesla batteries; Teslas made in China use BYD batteries I don't know what European made Teslas use

Tesla is incredibly vertically integrated, they are much more American than any other American car builder

Mine is Chinese, as I live in Australia which is near China and half a world from America. But I'd have thought Americans would value American made even if the company owner has bad politics
