Its the easiest way to make everyone scan their ID into social media. In a few years nobody will be able to use mainstream internet without every word being linked to their real name. Then people will start being disappeared. Their accounts will be taken over by AI that slowly alienates their digital community. Any mention of them having been snatched will be removed from the internet, and other bot accounts will tell lies about hanging out with them in the meat world.
yeah. it’s just ghoulish on every level. i also think that even removed from the surveillance state fact it’s going to make so many kids lives so much more lonely and horrible and going to extend their parents’ control over them. fuck you terf island
