He might not have known what it was when he got it, but he became a self professed history buff, specifically about WWII. There's literally no way he didn't know what it was during the course of the 2 decades it was on his chest.
I see you have no defense against the murder part, which is what I take the most issue with.
Who did he murder ?
Innocent Iraqis and Afghanistanis during his 3 combat tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan.
