People on the left were so desperate for the representation that the center does everything it can to deny them that they were willing to ignore some pretty glaring red flags.
The left is sad that a republican is gonna win now. Centrists are happy.

Moderates weren't happy as soon as his first scandals came out, but the left cried foul at any criticism. The only reason they are happy now is because all of you with your lame ass critical support of him has been exposed and you're running like rats from the sinking ship. They are NOT happy about the election itself, which the leftists darling candidate has completely fucked up. If you want representation then find someone viable to represent you, balls in your court, next time maybe you can find someone that isn't a an obvious trainwreck of a human being, but that seems to come with the territory.
You really can't imagine why the left might no longer trust centrists' motives, can you?

Centrist democrats kept working with republicans to pass aid packages while the genocide was going on. They voted with republicans to block bills that would condition arms sales. Arms sales under the Biden administration continued despite being flagrantly against the Leahy law. And the Biden administration's Secretary of State ran interference for the netanyahu regime at the UN. "But they didn't pass a bill explicitly named the genocide support bill so there's no genocide and democrats didn't support it" is a shit argument in the worst faith from someone who has nothing. Unlike with every other policy they claim they support, centrist democrats gave up zero ground in their singleminded devotion to making sure netanyahu got his weapons.
I've been talking about centrist democrats in particular this entire time. Hopefully no centrist democrat ever wins a primary again.
Abuse is no substitute for a single example of anything that the democratic party fights for harder than it does genocide, but since no such example exists, you'll do what centrists do when cornered. Condescension, gaslighting, and abuse.

There have been plenty of criticism aimed at corporations, for example, and how their support for progressive movements was mainly performative, such as rainbow logos during pride month. It was often described as "pinkwashing" or "rainbow-washing."
And that's just scratching surface.
