"As revolutionaries, we don't have the right to say that we're tired of explaining. We must never stop explaining. We also know that when the people understand, they cannot but follow us. In any case, we, the people, have no enemies when it comes to peoples. Our only enemies are the imperialist regimes and organizations." Thomas Sankara, 1985

in a city near mexican border. it happened as often as 2 times per cop, as in 2 different persons went out of their way to thank them for their service, sometimes more sometimes less. not even exaggerating here. it was during a crowded period so maybe that inflated the numbers.
Near the Mexican border, huh??? I'm close to it. Was it California or Arizona? Texas here, which is strange why I haven't seen anyone explicitly go out of their way to salute or thank a cop. Lots of Mexicans here, but also lots of white folk. So strange.
